How it works
Membership allows you to access the workshop and use the shared tools, workbenches, and space on your own schedule; each member is provided keyed access to the workshop. For those who are interested, additional private space may be rented within the larger workshop.
All levels of expertise are welcome, from novice to expert. Each member is provided mandatory safety training to keep everyone safe while using the workshop.

Membership Options
Onsite Storage Options
Four convenient onsite storage options to store more materials, unfinished projects, and personal tools at Members Workshop.
Bin space
Bins are provided by MW, and stored on a designated shelf. The bins are roughly 32” long by 20” wide by 16” tall.
$5/month
Cart Space
Cart space allows you to store a lockable wheeled cart or tool chest of your own at MW. Each cart “parking space” is 4’ long by 2’ wide and up to 5’ tall.
$25/month
Lumber rack space
Large lumber rack space gives you room to vertically store lumber and sheet goods. Each rack space is 4’ long by 2’ wide by 10’ tall.
$25/month
Studio Space
Studio space allows you to set up your own workbench, shelving, or specialty equipment in an area designated exclusively for your use.
$300/month for 10ft x 10ft.
Other sizes available as well.

Start Creating
I’ve built this place to give people like you the tools and space to work on your creative projects - whatever they may be. When I first moved to the Madison area I didn’t have the space I was used to for woodworking, or any of my other creative hobbies. I didn’t have room in my apartment for my tools, and it bummed me out.
Let’s rewind a bit. As a kid, I was very lucky to spend a lot of time with talented makers: my mom was an elementary school art teacher, one of my grandfathers was an electronics and HAM radio buff, and my other grandfather was a woodworker and jack-of-all-trades who can still fix just about anything. Spending time with them in the environments they each had carefully curated for making helped me to understand that a well-organized, fully stocked, inspiring work space helps encourage creativity and boost a maker’s confidence.
Members Workshop LLC - the shop - strives to be a place that embodies what I learned from my early years of making: that having the right tool for a task makes the task more satisfying. Having enough room to work makes the work go smoother. And a beautiful workspace can inspire a person to make something beautiful.
